A new hook, specifically designed to lift on the tip has been introduced by Europe’s largest portable access supplier TPA Portable Roadways Ltd.
The lifting device is a first within the industry and being purposely designed to ‘lift on the tip’ means that it complies with all LOLER Regulations. It also means that TPA clients across the spectrum of operating sectors, such as Transmission, Construction, Utilities and Rail, will benefit from TPA’s ultimate commitment to safety, R&D and subsequent financial investment in bringing this new standard of hook to the marketplace.
TPA worked with the experts in seeking the right solution and chose Lifting Gear Products and Crosby Premier Stampings as incumbents in the supply chain. They designed the hook specifically to install and recover TPA’s panel fleet; it now provides TPA with an unrivalled level of safety with regards to lifting operations.
TPA’s new ‘Blue Panel Hook’ has now been rolled out across its entire operating fleet of UK based installation wagons and the roll out continues throughout its European operation.
This begs the question; is your supplier ‘lifting safely?’
Steve Humberstone, Operations Director of TPA, said “The TPA hook has been developed in the UK through a close working relationship between TPA and Lifting Gear Products who have more than 50 years experience in the design, manufacture, repair and supply of lifting and mechanical handling equipment. LGP firmly believe this latest innovation will herald a revolution in lifting safety within the temporary access market. We at TPA are proud to be industry pioneers with the introduction of this key operational and critical safe system of work. When lifting and laying panels, we are sure that our processes and equipment are the safest available”.
