As well as laying temporary roadway for normal car use, a special section of aluminium panels was laid to create a surface that enabled cars to travel at speeds in excess of 60 miles per hour and included a hairpin turn.

The Rally Show is a one of a kind motorsport experience and this year consisted of five one day rallies, and was headlined with Jari-Matti Latvala driving his WRC09 Focus.
In total, TPA installed nearly 600 metres worth of aluminium roadway panels with safety bollards lining certain sections of the track. Over 860 pedestrian barriers enclosed the race teams’ paddock area and the designated viewing areas for the public.
Business Development Director for TPA, Amanda Cruxton-Chance said: “We regularly supply events at Chatsworth and our field based team are often approached to engineer temporary roadways for a multitude of unique and sometimes quirky applications. Here, to enable the cars to drive at such high speeds meant that we needed to anchor the panels with special plates and pins beneath to prevent any movement. But we enjoy, and rise to any challenge!”
